About The Fern Club
The Fern Club began in October 2018 and since then has gone from strength to strength. Running indoor weekly classes and outdoor workshops across the Harrogate area for children from 18 months upward. The Fern Club promotes learning through experience for parent and child. We teach STEAM inspired topics through movement (STEAMM) with progressive curriculum and weekly theme for each class.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone to take ownership of their own set of weekly classes. They need to have exceptional organisational skills, time management and must have the ability to think on the spot. We are looking for someone to assist in the growth of The Fern Club, being a trustworthy team player who’s keen to take on a new and exciting opportunity. You will lead weekly classes throughout the term, teaching independently, seizing learning opportunities as they arise during class and interacting with the The Fern Club families.

We are looking for a teacher with child development knowledge and a passionate, energetic approach to their teaching. The classes are physically demanding so the individual must be physically able to lift and move equipment. The right candidate will also be involved in the curriculum planning should they have adequate knowledge and experience.

About The Role
We are looking to recruit a part-time team member to help grow the company. Candidates will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience working with children; and experience of being a parent is also valued highly. Level 3 NVQ in a child education or childcare field or equivalent higher education qualification required. From a teaching, arts, movement or science background. 

DBS and reference checks on appointment of position.

We offer a competitive pay package dependent on experience.
